I’ve heard it said that “life has only three rules; paradox, humor and change.”“Paradox. Life is a mystery, don’t waste time trying to figure it out.”
“Humor. Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself, it is a strength beyond all measure.”
“Change. Know that nothing stays the same.”
To this day I haven’t found a place more representative of that statement than within the four corners of my yoga mat. It’s also what I strive to bring to every yoga class I’m in, whether taking or teaching. Knowing that everything cannot be explained so try and enjoy the moment. Be able to laugh at yourself and know the same pose can feel different tomorrow.
Hi I’m Chris. I’m a yoga instructor here in Seattle, WA. Five years ago, I found my way into a yoga studio as a means of lower impact exercise. Little did I know I would unearth a passion I didn’t realize I had. Fast forward to 2018 and I received my 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Certification from CorePower Yoga and have been teaching since then.
I’ve found myself in both struggle and laughter on my mat while realizing that with movement comes intention and through intention and space true joy can be found. That’s what I love about yoga; the ability to create space and hold it for yourself and those around you.
I like to combine the breath to movement connection of Vinyasa Yoga with additional thematic elements and an emphasis on breath expansion and the ability to take your time.
Come move, learn and breathe and allow me to hold space for you.
I’m honored to be a part of the community here at Mind.Body.Hum.
See you on your mat.
