A student of life and a natural teacher at heart, Larissa (MA, 200 RYT) is passionate about life, her students, and the healing power of yoga. She began practicing in 2015 and was drawn to meditative styles that quieted her busy mind and helped her tune in to her body, heart, spirit, and breath. Her career in elementary teaching has been both rewarding as well as demanding and stressful. Yoga has been the balance. Then, a car accident in 2019 and ensuing injuries and chronic pain were her wake-up call to slow down and take care. While her pain issues baffled doctors and continued despite traditional forms of treatment, a consistent yin and gentle vinyasa practice slowly helped heal her chronic pain. After moving to Seattle, she completed Be Luminous's 200-hour Baptiste Power Flow Teacher Training and graduated in December 2021. Power flow practice has brought Larissa more deeply into her power and strength. She has also completed specialized trainings in Seattle in Yin Yoga (Leah Adams) and Trauma-Informed Restorative Yoga (Jodi Boone and Heather Danso) at Mind Body Hum's studio. Larissa is passionate about bringing yoga to life for her students, inviting them to explore its healing and transformative powers. She can't wait to see you on the mat! When not practicing asana, Larissa can be found spending time with family and friends, traveling, shopping, reading, crafting, and being in Nature.
